Edward O’Hare joined Koniag Development Corporation (KDC) in 2011 as the company’s Senior Vice President, Technology Business Sector and as President and CEO of Koniag Services, Inc. (KSI). He has extensive experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors, including leading strategic planning and supply operations for government organizations.
After service in the U.S. Army, Mr. O’Hare began a long career in both the public and private sectors. His positions included Assistant Commissioner for the Integrated Technology Services at the General Services Administration (GSA) where Mr. O’Hare managed GSA IT and telecommunications contracts, which totaled more than $22 billion a year. In the private sector, Mr. O’Hare worked with government consulting contractors. Prior to coming to the Koniag family of companies, Mr. O’Hare served as vice president of business development for Dynanet Corporation.
Mr. O’Hare possesses more than 35 years of IT and government contracting experience. He also led the development of many groundbreaking systems, including the GSAAdvantage and GSAAuctions electronic commerce systems. He was proud to lead IT operations for the 2008 U.S. presidential transition.
Geoff Wheeler joined Koniag in October 2002 as Director of Business Development for its subsidiary Frontier Systems Integrator, LLC (FSI) responsible for sales and strategic business development in the federal government market. He brings leadership skills and expertise in growing small businesses while managing the operational challenges that often come with fast growing companies. After delivering over $240M for FSI and Koniag, Mr. Wheeler was assigned to support Koniag’s subsidiary development across a wide spectrum of government and commercial areas including oil & gas, physical security, facilities management, wireless engineering, cultural resources, and general management consulting markets. Prior to joining the Koniag family, Mr. Wheeler grew international and domestic wireless engineering software and test equipment sales for technical consulting firms based in Washington, DC and Düsseldorf, Germany.
Filling the primary leadership role for the company, Mr. Wheeler is now responsible for developing PacArctic into a value adding organization by applying the talents of our technical and program SMEs, teaming partners, and family of companies to meet the needs of our customers.
Mr. Wheeler holds a BA in International Marketing and German from Clemson University and an MBA (International Business, Finance, and Quality Management tracks) from the University of South Florida. Mr. Wheeler is also a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP Certification Number 2164123).
